Tree Trimming Schedule
Right-of-way (ROW) re-clearing along Great Lakes Energy power lines is scheduled this year in the counties and townships listed below.
Workers will attempt to get as many lines cleared as time permits. Other areas where tree growth presents a problem may be added to this list.
We will notify members if tree clearing is happening in their area by means of a postcard and phone message notification, approximately two weeks before the work begins.
2009 Areas Scheduled
Re-clearing work along power line rights-of-way is scheduled in 2009 in these counties and townships:
Allegan: Gun Plain, Martin, Otsego and Watson;
Antrim: Echo, Elk Rapids, Forest Home, Jordan and Milton;
Charlevoix: Charlevoix, Eveline, Hayes, Marion, Norwood, Peaine, South Arm, St. James and Wilson;
Crawford: Frederic, Grayling and Maple Forest;
Grand Traverse: Fife Lake;
Kalkaska: Bear Lake, Oliver and Springfield;
Lake: Elk;
Manistee: Stronach (east) and Norman (west);
Mason: Amber, Branch, Custer, Eden, Logan, Meade, Pere Marquette, Riverton and Summit;
Mecosta: Aetna;
Missaukee: Bloomfield;
Montcalm: Reynolds;
Montmorency: Briley, Montmorency and Vienna;
Muskegon: Casnovia, Egelston, Moorland, Ravenna and Sullivan;
Newaygo: Ashland, Beaver, Big Prairie, Bridgeton, Croton, Garfield, Goodwell, Sheridan, Troy and Wilcox;
Oceana: Colfax, Crystal, Elbridge, Ferry, Leavitt, Newfield and Weare;
Osceola: Hartwick, Highland, Marion, Middle Branch, Osceola, Rose Lake, Sherman and Sylvan;
